God, is it really going to work?

“God, is it really going to work?” Might be a usual part of the daily prayer for a lot of people who has received a promise from God and faced with a reality far away from it, but still we gather up the courage to get back up and run the race. But there are times when we get too tired to get up and run, points of life where everything we do, think is according to God’s word but still face set back after set back. What is going on?
The question has been asked by Sarah, wife of the one God called faithful, Abraham and Abraham himself gave into doubt after waiting years before finally going to Hagar , but as we look into the bible for answers, God doesn’t disappoint.
For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. Isaiah 55:8 NKJV
The above verse might be the one we hear often, something that tells us  that his ways doesn’t make sense to us, God has the clearer picture of everything that has, that is and that will happen so it’s wiser to just stop trying to figure out what God said is impossible.
Upon reading Genesis chapters 37, 39-45 we come across the story of Joseph who dreamt of greatness and that really cost him everything, even with his faithfulness in every place God put him, all he got was setback after setback, but in the end God promoted him swiftly from the prison ,the farthest place from his dream, to being the prime minister of Egypt. One has to take time to think of what would have happened if even one of his troubles were taken away, the results would have been different and he wouldn’t have reached where God intended him to reach.
It’s tough to hold on, but it will be worth it. God always pays off. Having blind faith involves seeing the dream God gave you through your situations and trusting God’s ways even if it doesn’t make sense to us.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord , plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11 ESV
